Aber wer mulcht, also seine Beete abdeckt, der hat viel weniger Probleme mit damit: Unkraut wird unterdr\u00fcckt, die Feuchtigkeit bleibt viel besser im Boden (weniger gie\u00dfen) und die Bodenlebewesen sind deutlich aktiver. Aber ich habe noch einen weiteren Grund, Mulch anzuwenden. In der letzten Gartensaison hatte ich die Samtfleckenkrankheit an den Tomaten. Ein Pilz, \u00e4hnlich wie die Kraut- und Braunf\u00e4ule. Um zu verhindern, dass sich die Sporen wieder vermehren, habe ich gemahlenen Senf im Gew\u00e4chshaus ausgebracht (siehe <a href=\"https:\/\/youtu.be\/ypsUqYcQkjE\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">https:\/\/youtu.be\/ypsUqYcQkjE<\/a>). Zus\u00e4tzlich werde ich die Erde dort mit einer dicken Schicht Mulch abdecken. Dazu habe mir mir 9 m\u00b3 Hackschnitzel gekauft (rund 20 Euro pro m\u00b3) und damit Beete und Wege im Gew\u00e4chshaus abgedeckt. Hackschnitzel sind normalerweise ein Heizmaterial &#8211; aber die Kosten f\u00fcr Hackschnitzel sind nicht oder nur kaum gestiegen im Vergleich zu Pellets, Gas oder Heiz\u00f6l. Daher kommt man an Hackschnitzel recht g\u00fcnstig ran.
