Für mich ist es so wertvoll wie Gold – und es sieht auch fast danach aus: Bienenwachs. Mit dem ehemaligem Imker Herrmann klären (reinigen) wir Wachs, bis alle Schmutzpartikel draußen sind. Aus Bienenwachs kann man zum Beispiel Kerzen gießen (siehe https://youtu.be/ISlAvHXryHo), Bienenwachstücher herstellen, neue Mittelwände für die Bienen gießen oder Salben anrühren. Ich achte auf einen eigenen Wachskreislauf, weil ich sicher gehen will, dass kein mit Paraffin oder Stearin gestrecktes Wachs zu meinen Bienen kommt.
